So, from taking the drawings from the desk, SketchUp has a really awesome mobile tool as well, SketchUp Viewer. So we were able to take those drawings from the desk and then bring those out into the field with us. So, if there was a question, we didn't have to call back. We could just pull out our device, pull up that project, zoom in, pull a measurement, pull a design spec. They just downloaded it, installed it, and we were able to start using it.įor anybody that's thinking about getting into some type of auto-type CAD drawing program, SketchUp is definitely something to take a look at.Īnd for guys that really aren't technology experts, they were able to use this product so easy that really, we didn't even have to have training. It already comes with so many easy tools that you can use right there within the program. There's lots of videos online you can use. And one of the really cool things about SketchUp is there's a parts warehouse.
